How to charge a 3V lithium battery

2023-05-09

In the application of 3V lithium battery, it should be noted that the battery enters the sleep state after a period of time, when the volume is less than the standard value, and the application is also reduced. However, lithium batteries are very simple to excite and only need to go through 3-5 normal discharge cycles to stimulate the battery and restore the normal volume. Because of the characteristics of the lithium battery itself, it is basically not recalled. Therefore, the 3V lithium battery in the customer's mobile phone does not need special methods and machinery and equipment in the process of excitation. Not only is this theoretically so, but from the perspective of their own practical activities, it is better to use the standard method of charging such "natural agitation" from the beginning.

Regarding the "exciting talk" problem of lithium batteries, many names are: the charging time must exceed 12 hours, and it is constantly done three times, which is convenient for the battery. This kind of "the first three charges should be charged for more than 12 hours" is obviously called for nickel batteries (such as nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride) to last. Therefore, this kind of name can be said to be spread indiscriminately at the beginning. The charge and discharge characteristics of 3V lithium batteries and nickel batteries are very different, and it can be very clear that any strict announcement technical documents I have read focus on overcharging and overdischarging can cause great damage to lithium batteries, especially liquid lithium-ion battery batteries. Therefore, charging is still according to standard time and standard methods, especially if it is not necessary to carry out longer charging for more than 12 hours. Generally, the charging method detailed in the book on the mobile phone is the standard charging method suitable for the mobile phone.

In addition, the lithium battery mobile phone or charger will automatically stop charging after the battery is fully charged, and there will be no nickel electric charger to put it bluntly, 10 hours of continuous "trickle" charging. That is to say, assuming that your lithium battery is fully charged, it is also charged in vain when put on the charger. And none of us can ensure that the characteristics of the battery's charge, discharge and maintenance power circuit will never change and the quality is foolproof, so your battery will be on the verge of risk for a long time. This is another reason why we resist long charging.

In addition, for some mobile phones, after charging beyond the necessary moment, assuming that the charger is not removed, the system will not only not terminate the charge, but also start the discharge-charge cycle. Perhaps the manufacturers of this practice have their intentions, but it is clearly bad for the life of the battery and the phone/charger. Together, long charging requires a long time, usually required to be carried out at night, and in the case of China's power network, the working voltage at night in many areas is relatively high, and the fluctuation is great. As mentioned earlier, 3V lithium batteries are very delicate, and it is much different than nickel electricity in the charge and discharge level, so this creates additional risks.

In addition, another level that cannot be ignored is that 3V lithium batteries should also not be overcharged and discharged, and overcharge and discharge are also very bad for lithium batteries.
